A Tunbridge Wells restaurant has gifted 100 meals to NHS staff free of charge.

Zorba Meze Grill on Upper Grosvenor Road hand-delivered the packages to staff on their late shift at Pembury Hospital last night (March 19). Mr Zorba told KentLive: “At the moment we are having a difficult time as a nation.

“We wanted to give them a little help and let them know that we are together with them. “We stand together.” Mr Zorba does not intend this to be a one-off gesture, however. Sedat Zorba, owner of Zorba Meze Grill in Tunbridge Wells also wants to harness the good will on the Tunbridge Wells self-isolation support group on Facebook to deliver packages to the vulnerable. He said: “We’d like to continue to supply them with meals and also some people indoors who are isolating, like the elderly who are not able to go out. “We are asking them to contact us and there are some volunteers on the group in social media and people can give us a hand to deliver this food.” “We need to stand together,” he reiterated
